CLIK AAE

Automate the creation of CAD assemblies

High volume Built-To-Order (BTO) products, such as commercial vehicles, specialty truck bodies, construction equipment, boats and HVAC systems, are customized by selecting from a large menu of available options, often through the use of a configurator, or CPQ System.

3D visualization of the finished BTO product is the most direct and intuitive way of reviewing the order and discussing it with customers. Engineers create CAD assemblies for documentation and verification. However, the manual overhead of CAD creation is an obstacle to wide adoption of 3D visualization. Creating just one custom assembly may require several hours of manual CAD engineering work. It is time-prohibitive to manually create CAD models for all possible combinations of available options.

CLIK Automated Assembly Engineering, or CLIK AAE, automates the 3D assembly from customer requirements and selections, and generates CAD assemblies for 3D display and export to CAD programs. Each assembly is generated on the fly, from CLIK mating instructions that do not grow combinatorially with the number of options or parts.

The CLIK 3D Renderer interactively displays the finished product in realistic 3D colors and materials. Users can see the changes to their design in a few seconds by simply using a web browser.

CLIK AAE derives its power from the product knowledge stored in CLIK Designer and uses Certusoft proprietary mesh kernel for geometry operations. Product and design engineers enjoy all the benefits of CLIK Designer in defining rules and constraints. CLIK AAE accepts CAD models in all major formats including SolidWorks®, PTC Creo® and Siemens NX®.

EXPRESS YOUR DESIGN INTENT WITH CLIK AAE

Describe the intent of your design with Certusoft powerful CLIK language. Explore millions of possible scenarios free from the drudgery of manual CAD design. CLIK AAE makes use of the unique CLIK® language for expressing relationships between CAD elements.
